ACCOUNT STRATEGIST

JOB DESCRIPTION

Mth Degree, Inc. is looking for an Account Strategist (AS) to oversee and manage key client relationships. You should be articulate, driven, a great writer, organized, attentive to detail, a solid team player, enthusiastic and have a working knowledge of the power of brands and innovative, cross-media marketing strategies—with a strong focus on digital media. Exceptional client service, writing, strategic thinking and communication skills are essential for this position; as well as consistently delivering results in a timely, world-class and solution-oriented manner. This is a full time position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage key accounts to ensure the highest level of client service, value, strategic and creative thinking is always being provided by the agency team.
  • Lead the strategy, creative development, brand positioning and execution of cross-media marketing campaigns that can include: web, social, mobile apps, e-mail, broadcast TV & radio, events and print.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of clients’ products, services, business culture, competitive landscape and marketing opportunities.
  • Lead content and product positioning, including messaging, strategy and copywriting for go-to-market product launches.
  • Lead team in creating sales and training PowerPoint presentations for go-to-market product launches.
  • Comfortable and effective in leading complex project environments, and working with both long-range and short-term business objectives and management of multiple stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients; escalate, track, solve client issues and anticipate client business needs to build trust, close collaboration and open communication with the client.
  • Proactively mine and help drive new business strategy and marketing opportunities with short and long-term insights for both existing and new clients.
  • Develop and deliver formal and informal presentations to clients as well as internal team members.
  • Create marketing reports, including consumer segmentation profiles, brand promise and positioning audits and reports, survey and research analysis.
  • Create and own campaign performance and analytics to measure effectiveness, ROI and the overall target to meet and exceed campaign KPIs.
  • Create and manage budgets, timelines and negotiate account compensation, change orders and client profitability.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience required.
  • 2-5 years experience in Marketing/Branding/Advertising and client service.
  • 2+ years as a brand and/or product brand manager with proven ability to create go-to-market product positioning and messaging.
  • 2+ years digital media and marketing industry experience is required.
  • Demonstrated passion for technology and its use in driving marketing objectives, revenue, client satisfaction and efficiency.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills—written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated expertise in uncovering business needs and building relationships with senior level clients.
  • Experience leading both digital strategy, design and development teams in website and mobile app development projects is required.
  • Strong project management skills are required, ability to create project plans, roadmaps, timelines, budgets as well as status and analytics reports.
  • Success in presenting strategic solutions that demonstrate thought leadership, and engage across social media.
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Should have strong understanding of interactive strategy, design, production and can effectively guide development team time line and oversee the development process.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, presentation, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs and translate needs into solutions.
  • Ability to balance revenue, client satisfaction and operational responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office tools.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
